Double Socket Tee (Polyethylene pipe)
Definition and Application
It is used to make an extension from the main pipe. Polyethylene pipe enters the both side of the line and it is sealed by washer and gland. The extension part is flanged. Flange standards according to DIN EN 1092-2. Casting standard according to DIN EN 1693.
Key points
When this part is used, the cut section surface of the pipe should be preferably smooth and vertical. To seal the flanged part, rubber flat or patched washers are used. To seal the bolted part where the pipe enters the coupling, bolted gland washer with bolted gland is used. It enjoys bentoniti/primer and bitumen cover as ordered by the customers to prevent corrosion. When it is used, polyethylene should enter the coupling until it stops.
